Product data is a margin line now, not an IT ticket

Machines now do a growing share of product shortlisting, they read structured feeds rather than pages, and Adobe measures roughly a third to a half of retail page content as unreadable to them. Meanwhile GPSR and the EU Digital Product Passport attach legal accountability to the same attributes. The conclusion for buying, sourcing and procurement is uncomfortable but simple.
